Happy Saturday – and for those who thought I’d been kidnapped by aliens [no ribbon on the last few cards! eeep!], I’m back to settle the matter – it’s me!
I just had to dig my Ribbon Carousels back out from under the mess in my craft room – if I’d pulled on a piece of ribbon, I’d have been buried in everything stacked on top!
The image on this card was almost a total reject…I was trying something, and it didn’t work like I wanted, so I had tossed it in the recycle bin. Then I walked past it the next day and decided it was ok. I like it better with the delicate details added to the card, but it really needed them to make me feel like the card worked very well. And – I’m entering this in the MWT for flowers! Lookeee, I entered a challenge!

I’d give you a list of Copics if I’d kept them….there are SO many colors in here, layer on layer….and since I tossed it I didn’t write anything down ;(
Today’s a madrush of a day…post office, bank, shopping for CHA (clothes) and my Copic class, and possibly (gasp) a new phone, if the line in the Apple store isn’t too long. We’ll see how much of the rest of the errands get done. Wish me luck!

- Copic Workshop Review: No longer a one-trick pony! | Sandy Allnock - [...] Rin, that was the one my heart wanted to put forward! But….I opted for the House Mouse card HERE ...

I love the image! I am so glad you got it out of the recycle bin!
You are one busy lady. Have fun at CHA. Love the card and the colors.
Love the background – glad yuo put the card together it is really lovely!
such a sweet card. Next time you toss something throw it my way. Have a wonderful time at CHA
Cute card. I haven’t tried Copics on the HM images, hmmmm.
I am glad, too, that you picked this one out of the recycle bin. It would have been a tragedy if it had been lost. The coloring is SUPER! Someone is going to love this card. And while you’re rushing, remember to stop and smell the roses. (like the tie in with your card? nudge nudge wink wink) oxox
Sandy I love this and hope it is o.k. if I share it with my Original House Mouse Stamping List and give you credit. This is so awesome. This is one of my favorite images .. I have had this house mouse list for 13 years and a lot of them send cards and packages over to Afghanistan. The shading and coloring is wondeful. Great card, thank you for sharing it. Hugs, Cathy K
Absolutely!
thank you bunches and bunches, the girls will love it. hugs, Cathy K
Sandy, you do great work. Love the layout of the papers. As someone new to copics it would be great if you considered listing the colors that you used? I know you are busy but it would help us all learn. Thank you.

Cindi, if you read the text – since I was tossing this image, I didn’t write them down. I usually do try.
Hi Sandy,
What a cute card!
It is good to hear that you put things aside and come back to them. It makes me feel a little better about my return-to-pile upstairs. TFS!
Have fun at CHA!
Sandy, the coloring is wonderful. You are definitely a true artist that sees “problems” in her own work that no one else does. Beautiful card. Ditto on the comments to smell the roses; and with that, “don’t muzzle the ox!” Refresh yourself whenever you can in the midst of all the work you do for others.
I’m so glad you salvaged this card…the images are so adorable…LOVE your coloring so much, too!
Any chance you could do a video on how you created the sky background? It’s so pretty!
Also, may I ask: What does MWT stand for?
Midweek Throwdown challenge over on the Stars and Stamps blog
Sandy, Loved this card. The shading that you did on the mice is fantastic. The whole card is a work of art. Enjoy CHA. Safe travels.
