Holiday Card Workshop Day 1: Hero Arts snowflakes

Posted on Oct 30, 2012 | 5 comments

I’m late to day 1 since it’s day 2, but….I’ve been cooking my idea since class at least! I decided to go for a more masculine color combo and send it to a hero.

I used the Winter Wishes set (benefits Operation Write Home!) – and since it has a little star in it, I also punched a large navy star to go with it!

I used the Hero Arts chalk inks for the stamps: Cup o Joe, Wet Cement, and Stone Wash, and distressed with Ranger’s Vintage photo. The big “thanks” is by Impress Rubberstamps.

Off to try something for today’s class before the mail carrier arrives – she warned me that a pallet arrived yesterday as she was leaving with my 5 bins….so if they got it all processed, it could be a huge mail day. Eeeep! Stamp fast, eh?

  4. Terrific card and color choices. Love the punched star that “fits” with the stamped image. Have a good day.

  5. A pallet for you? Wow! Hope all those cards are stamped and tucked, and nothing for the card hospital!
Your card is beautiful … colors and layout. The dark blue star is perfect with it.
