Hero Holiday Week: Star Tree

Posted on Aug 9, 2012 | 9 comments

I made a fun little Christmas tree out of the stars in the Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments set! I love that you can do things like this with clear stamps since you can see where you’re stamping – can you fathom doing this with wood mountedstamps? And with the stars- this is going to count as my AnyHero card for the week since it’s Thursday!

I nabbed the fence from the Right at Home stamp set to make the tree base. And now that I’m looking closely at my photo, eww on my coloring! lol! I’m all over the place out of the lines. I guess it’s at least good to know that we all look rough close up, eh? Copic colors:G29 G07 G14, E47 E25

  1. Love It!

  2. Beautiful card also the one below is also gorgeous the one with the clock faces. Was shopping at Hobby Lobby yesterday and a young Air Force guy was a head of me and I thanked him for his service and we got talking and he said he has sent many cards from OWH to his family. He appreciated what we do. You have a great day!

  3. Clever idea to use the stamps in a different way. LOVE the green stars and the fence ‘pot’.

  4. What a great use for the stars and fence! And Mary, what a wonderful moment. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I’m happy to know you sometimes color outside the lines. I always do, and that’s a problem. This card is so clever! Well done!

  6. Very clever!

  7. You might not have colored outside the lines, but got too close to the line so that the color bled outside.

  8. This might have to be my Christmas card!

  9. So cute – I’m definitely going to be CASE-ing this!
