Hello everyone and welcome to my stop on the hop! I’m Sandy, president of OWH, and I’m stoked about our event today! I’ll get down to business quickly so you can get to the other blogs – I used Elf Marci from LaLa Land Crafts. If you’d like to see a tutorial on coloring this image, click on the card to go to the other post with details…it’s a before-and-after Copic lesson!
The sketch I used is this one from DeconstructingJen…click on the sketch to go to the site.
And of COURSE I have blog candy!
LaLa Land sent me these fun halloween stamps; OWH’s deadline has passed, but I want these to get into the hands of someone who can use ‘em this year for your own cards! So leave me a comment today – and come back tomorrow to see another WCD card – and I’ll pick two winners, one from each post – to get one of these cuties!

Absolutely fabulous card. It’s hard to pick what to comment on! I had never thought to layer ribbon. But it really works. And the round shape covered in
bakers twine is just genius! I love the way you shade. Being new to OWH, I am going back and watch OWHtv. I hope to see an episode on shading

Thanks for the coloring tutorial – I absolutely adore the dark haired elf but didn’t think there was anything ‘wrong’ with the light colored elf (until you put them side by side and pointed out the differences). Thanks for a chance at the blog candy.
Love the card!
I love all your cards, and your teaching methods. Coloring is one of the hardest things for me to do, so I don’t do much of it. I like the candy done with twine.
SO cute! I love how she is colored and how you made your own peppermint twist candy!! Hey, maybe one will help you cold!!
Feel better soon!!
I would have never picked that sketch because it looks so complicated. But you have used it perfectly!
I hit send before I was done but here are additional comments. The little elf is so adorable and the colors are so vibrant, I cannot say enough about it. Thank you for sharing your craft with us.
Delightful image & clever use of bakers twine to make a holiday mint!!!
Even with the patterned background paper, this card doesn’t look too ‘busy’… and my eye immediatly goes to the beautiful colored image.

Sandy,
I agree with everyone — your coloring is, as always, amazing. But, the mint is a touch of genius!
OMG your card is just gorgeous! That little elf is too darn cute! I adore her. Thanks so much for the Copics tutorial!
Sandy your before and after tutorial are very helpful. Lets me see the different ways to do a project and make it look better. I really like both cards but can see the difference now. Thanks
Love your Marci! I learned a lot from the coloring tutorial, too, about how to direct the eye to what you want it to focus on by using different colors and about how to color to get that shiny light bounce effect (like on the candy cane).
Sandy, your card is wonderful! I love the coloring and I’m particularly pining for your twining! Your use of twine is such an asset to your card! Thanks for all you do every day for OWH and I hope you get to feeling better soon!
Sandy, I love how Marci pops on the white background and the extra touch that the Glossy Accents adds. Enjoyed your coloring tutorial. I always learn soooo much. Thanks for sharing and all you do for OWH.
Your elf is adorable and colored to perfection! I love the twine candy you made that is just too creative. Love that idea! So many amazing cards on the blog hop!

Very Cute image! Beautiful card. I love what you did with the twine on the circle and the ribbon too!
Sandy she is adorable and I love the vibrant colors! You fooled me on the peppermint…I thought it was a rosette but I knew you weren’t a fan of those for mailing purposes so I had another glance! Super cute idea to use twine for the same effect! Especially like the layered black and red ribbons ~ Fantastic job!
You’re coloring technique is yummy-makes it so 3D looking! I’ll be scraplifting some ideas of this adorable card including the twine ‘snowflake’ and matting the ribbon-never thought about that, but it really makes it pop. Gracias for all you do for OWH and supporting our heroes…from a grateful blessed Navy wife!
Amazing coloring, it looks 3D ! I really like that little embellishment made of twine, thanks for sharing =)
I love your tutorials on coloring. They are always such a delight to watch. I learn from them too. You are very helpful and informative in your explanations and direction… thanks
