Get well Lawn Fawn

May 11, 2012 by

For those who are my subscribers with the new widgety thing – you got a different version of this post last week. Ooops! Still learning WordPress. :) The subscription thingie sends the eversion out instantly and I couldn’t ‘re-call’ it so I just set it to draft again, to post today. Gosh, technology! Anyway….

This card uses the Sketch from the Stars and Stamps blog last week – wow was this a toughie for me! I don’t usually get so stumped but this time it took a bit o’work. But with this darling little Lawn Fawn turtle, it’s hard not to have a winning card when it’s done!

I want to say a little about get well cards while I’m posting these…and that’s that OWH doesn’t really need get well very much. Think about it – by the time a hero hears that someone is sick, which could be a long time past when that person fell ill, and then they have to go find the OWH box, get the card, write it, get to the mail room, send it…..then weeks til it arrives at home – well, that person is most likely well again already (or the opposite!). What works a LOT better is thinking of you cards, or general ones. This particular card is going to a friend having surgery – thus the speedy recovery message.

Now, the second card for today is more of what I’d do for an OWH card – a different message that could be used for any type of occasion. I still got to color the darling little kleenex box, but it doesn’t have to be for someone with the sniffles now.

And doesn’t a kleenex box with wiggly eyes just make you smile?

So…that’s my cardshar for the day….happy Friday!
