Foreground, Background – Dogs – and Mini MISTI

Some gratitude for this post – to my friend Sheila for lending me her pup stamps….and to Iliana for sharing a miniMISTI with me before I even had a chance to go get one!

Foreground/background coloring

Sometimes a scene you’re creating just cries out for some depth of field – when one image needs to look like it’s a distance behind another one. It’s very possible to do, and has great impact especially with no-line coloring, because the image in the distance doesn’t even have black stamped lines to pull it forward. See how I did it – watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

After trying out this stamp set, I’m going to spend some of next month’s crafty budget at Gerda Steiner – let me know if you’ve got a favorite?Sandy Allnock Foreground and Background Coloring

  7. Oh, Sandy — your amazingly Copic-colored card perfectly describes my work life! The “howling dog” in my office is the reason for many “ruff” days. Ironically, today is the last day of my week-long mental health staycation — I return on Monday, to the daily grind and the “howling dog.”

Thank you always for so graciously sharing your incomparable talent with us!
