Mo Manning: Father and Daughter

Posted on Aug 13, 2012 | 3 comments

Hello peeps! Today’s card is a sweet little one for a daddy to send home to his little girl at home…this image from Mo Manning totally makes me think of my dad. And it also started off a lot simpler than this card; I didn’t have the butterflies on it at first, but it seemed to want something fussy. One butterfly wasn’t ‘enough’ but then all four are too much to my eye – but they’re less bothersome since they’re punched from the same Echo Park designer paper. The ribbon is *gasp* Bazzill – I still did keep a litttttle non-May Arts in the house, and this pink is one of them; I’m not a pink girl so I don’t usually buy any, but this spool was donated – so I keep it for the uber-girly cards :)

Page pearls were added here using Glossy Accents as adhesive; again, these are likely too much on the card, but little girls like too much, I think! :) n  The image will appeal to a dad, but the rest of it’s all about the little girl he loves.
