Eat Cake meets Unity, with a side of Authentique
I’ve got a pretty special card for you today…and ohhhh what a struggle! I think I love to share the ones most that are the hardest ones to complete; maybe because the whole world watches me blast through stump Sandy cards week after week, so when it comes the hard way, I’ve got a lot more pride in it! (By the way I entered it in the new Oozak Challenge Blog – go check it out!)
This little image is one I especially wanted for a mom or dad with two kids and a dog …. they’re going to love writing in cards with this image! I knew I wanted Mia, Teddy, Sweet Pea and James looking up at stars….I imagine families looking at the sky night after night, thinking about each other. The sentiment is by Unity….and it might only be the 2nd time this has seen ink. The words are pretty mushed together – the second “twinkle” is barely readable to my persnickety eyes! So I stamped it again, ised a white pen to add a little space around the sentiment, then fussycut the word. It still was a little funky, but once popped, it reads much better.
I wish I had written down the colors I used for you! I really do need to get better at that. But they are pretty basic Papers are by Authentique, and I added gold and silver stars to the sky with pearl pen.

The grass made this card really work for me! I layered the two strips of paper, but beforehand, I used my Martha Stewart fringe scissors on them. The second piece of grass is popped so it all feels like a pretty dimensional scene.
So….there you are for a Saturday inspiration card. I hope you have a great weekend ahead!!!
