*Bumping this to the top for flag day 2012! There’s an InLinkz over on this post for 2012 Flag Day cards – go try one!*

I saw a card in an LSS that I had to CASE right away, I just loved it. Now, I didn’t have the card sample in front of me, and I didn’t have the punch they used, so I made a bit of alteration to it for mine. Here’s a sketch I created….I think the one in the store has the blue paper at 5-1/2 x 4-1/4, and a white layer that’s 5-1/4 x 4…..the stripes will be 5 inches long.
Note that the strips overlap each other; and depending on what the depth of the border punch is, you may need to adjust the 1.25″ width of them. When assembling, the first strip to put on is a red one, then layer every other one on top. You also might change the blue box depending on the stars you’ll use in the corner.
So I made card kits for the church party….after the disaster getting people to use a border punch last time, I did all the punching for them…

Very cute cards! I especially like your version with the small holes.
Wow, Sandy, these are great. I'm going to have to try one.
Thanks for sharing this one Sandy. I'm gonna have to case it myself… I especially like it since no stamping is required… for those times when I'm not in an "inky" mood! LOL
Sandy, these cards are fabulous… I'm going to have to CASE your card now!!! TFS
Thanks Sandy for sharing the cute cards. Looks easy and they are so pretty as well. Thanks for all you do and for keeping us card makers going day in and day out! We couldn't do it without you!
I'm going to join the parade and CASE you! Really like this and think I've got some punches that will work. Try to stay cool!

Ok, you've shamed me in the biggest way! I worked in flag manufacturing for over 23 years and I never thought to create something like this! It's just fabulous Sandy!! Now I'm going to HAVE to case this idea:) TFS!
Great job!
awesome take on the sample – i love the one with the "wavy" punch so that it gives the illusion of waving in the breeze. AWESOME
Sandy – speaking of the one with the wave. Can you tell me what punch that is – does it punch the holes too. Surely you didn't punch all those holes by hand. I love that one.
Sandy, these are awesome! I've already CASEd your work. It's even my first Any Hero card, so you've truly inspired me. Thank you SO much for this and all you do.
Thanks for the scoop on the card!
There’s going to be a ton of flag cards out there, as I’ll be CASE’g it, too. So simple, which is what I like. How sweet of you to do all the punching. Whatever it takes, huh?
I will be casing as well. What cute cards!
How CUTE are these – and MY what a lot of work making all the punched stripes but totally worth it.
Wow, I love these and will be casing them too. I love that wavy punch, will have to pick one up before making the cards. So cute! TFS

You’re so welcome, Antoinette!
