Creating a Pizza Scene – Watercolor Pencils

Before I get rolling on the video….I have to say I cracked up finding the accordion music for the background. LOL. Hope you enjoy it like I did!  ha!

Creating a Pizza Scene – Albrecht Durer Watercolor Pencils

This little pizza not only made me hungry…it inspired a simple little scene! Watch how I made the plate and the pizza slicer thingamabob (and weigh in on what your family calls it!)….and I dare you not to get hungry! Watch the video below, or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

The Albrecht Durer pencils are a lot of fun – they really do water out so nicely. I need to make sure they don’t get hidden in the bottom of the pencil drawer again. Yes, I have *gasp* a drawer full! Eeeep! So embarrassing. But…it’s my job. I’ll use that for my excuse!

  1. Hi Sandy, here at my house we also call it a pizza cutter :o)
Oh my goodness, I’m a sick puppy. I always have to buy all the colours or the whole set of something.
I actually went to Dick Blick last night and order the Albrecht Durer Watercolour Pencils!!!! They were are sale and also free shipping. The free shipping is over tonight at midnight.
After watching you colour with them I could not resist!! Love all the detail you drew onto your card. It is such a cute stamp set.

    1. Enjoy them! You won’t be disappointed ❤

  2. Cute card. Love that you added the pizza pan, pizza cuter / wheel and box. TFS

  3. Pizza Cutter! I love this. I haven’t played with my watercolor pencils in awhile. Time to get them out again. Thanks!

  4. This is sooo ADORABLE! Love it!

  5. Delicious!

  6. Pizza cutter! Love this!

  7. This is absolutely fantastic Sandy. I love this! TFS!

  8. I actually have this stamp set, because I thought it was the cutest! You have inspired me to create and also use my watercolor pencils! Your creation is awesome!

  9. I’m a sucker for food stamps with faces like this pizza! Thanks Sandy

  10. Another vote for pizza cutter. Although they are great to use for any type of dough, like lattice strips or biscuits. I love my Albrecht Durer WC pencils, also. So creamy and I’ve been told the best way to practice WC is to use the largest possible brush in order to let WC shine and not be detailed. They are WC not markers and nothing colors just like WC unless you try to make it look like Copic but then why not just use Copic? Thanks for such a cute valentine and another good lesson on WC pencils!

  11. So cute! I love the watercolor pencils and how you added your own drawings of the box, pan, and wood table. You’ve inspired me to get out my pencils. While I’m at it, I want to mention I finally got around to labeling my Zig Clean Color brushes with the free labels you made available in your store. It is SO much easier to use them now that I can so readily ID the color I’m looking for. Thank you for all you do!

  12. We call it a Pizza Cutter. Love the way this all came together, especially the dimension on the plate. This card really came alive as I watched. And I think they may be peppers so good choose on green.

  13. What fun! Love the watercolor pencil look – I really need to dig mine out.. Oh, and we always called that thing a Pizza Cutter – so you can add that one to the mix, as well! Thanks for another great card!
