I’ve been on a bit of a bender with music lately. A beat is the thing that gets my energy up. It gets the creativity flowing. And it just makes me happy! And for someone who’s as middle-aged and caucasian as me, I have kinda weird taste at times…I just love hip hop, rap, r&b, and occasionally rock flavored with one of them. So I’ve been collecting Pandora playlists and testing them out to see what gets me groovin’! Last night I put on a Red Hot Chili Peppers set and morphed that into some Black Eyed Peas, and I packed a gajillion cards to the beat! And all this after my shelves had been empty Sunday night. It’s been a banner week, oh my!

This lil Rockin Doggie from Birdie Brown is also rockin’ out on his card….what a blast he was to color! I picked out some crazy papers from MME’s Bright Side 6×6 – they’re patterns I thought were kinda boyish and rockstarish…the brown pulls in a little of the pup’s color, and his shirt tugs on some of the blues and greens. I let the paper go a little kittywompus since he’s dancing like I do. 🙂 He’s even kicking up some Fiskars punched stars!

I also popped a couple parts – his headphones, his glasses, and the guitar with the shirt and arms; they’re popped with Tombow’s Power Adhesive Tabs – which are thinner than the Precious. (Don’t tell her I’m cheatin gon her!)

And now…for something completely different. Possibly silly. You be the judge 🙂 And feel free to share it – Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, embed it in a post on your blog. Whatever. Get someone else’s groove on!

I had such a BLAST making this bit of nonsense! I’ve been saving other music pieces that could lend themselves to this kind of thing….so if you’re inclined toward this sort of thing, go leave a like and a comment over on YouTube! Go over and tell me what gets YOUR crafty rhythm going 🙂
