Color a Fortune Cookie

Fortune Cookie Card by Sandy Allnock

Color a Fortune Cookie

This new die from Ellen Hutson is a simple one – but it’s not hard to make it look *spectacular* with a little Copic coloring! Pop it onto a clean and simple card along with a sentiment from the Fortune Sentiments set, and you’ve got a fun little card anyone would love to receive. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

I kept my card really simple – just a popped partial black panel on a red base, and a simple white embossed sentiment! The cookie carries the design well!

  1. So cool and life like I thought they looked good enough to eat! :O)

  2. Fantastic coloring. I like that you shared it took you a couple of attempts to get this colored the way you wanted. It gives me courage to try again when my first attempt didn’t work out.

  3. You are so nice for sacrificing your waist line for us.

  4. Love this.

  5. Wow you are so good. I love the sacrifice you did by getting Asian food so you can create the awesome real looking cookie. It actually looks so real and dimensional.. I love the sentiments. What fun you could have creating these cards.

  6. Thank you Sandy, love the cookies. Incredible colouring and tutoring. I always love that you also tell why you use a colournr. instead of an other one!

  7. Looks so real… TFS the colours and explaining how you coloured them! Fun set!

  8. Wow! That card is awesome. I thought the cookies looked fairly realistic before you put them on the card, but that black background really made them stand out beautifully. Fabulous!

  9. Oh my goodness… incredible job Sandy!!! It looks like a real one sitting there… I love these stamps….

  10. OMG – you nailed it! I’ve tried to color fortune cookies before – never could get the colors right. Thank you so much for your determination and stamina – to sacrifice a whole meal in order to receive a fortune cookie to use for a model! Haha! I hope it was tasty – and I hope you got a great fortune!
PS – these stamps from Ellen H. are on their way to my house, even as I write… can’t wait to try this!
