This week’s fine art piece is a coastal watercolor painting of Westcliff-on-Sea – all done with a flat brush! It was my sister’s birthday present; she just bought a house there so I snagged a photo from her Facebook page to paint for her!
FYI that lil brush is 50% off if you want one. Click here!

I painted it on a pre-stretched pre-gesso’d canvas; I decided on that because of a few reasons…one, after she’s sinking all her moolah into a new house I didn’t want her to have to go get a painting framed. And two, sending a framed piece with glass in the mail overseas is…well…dodgy! It seemed the better part of valor to send something lightweight that wouldn’t break and could be hung right away.
