Reindeer Under a Pine Tree

Lots of you have expressed an interest in creating scenes….but wanting something quicker and easier to do when making multiple cards for Christmas. Well, I have a tree idea for ya! This cute little reindeer sits happily under his tree, and could be colored with any medium – but I’m using watercolors today. Enjoy! Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

A Copic version, trying to create a similar stone-looking background in reds…

MFT Guest Post: Love you to the core

MFT Guest Post: Love you to the core

Hello coloring friends!! I’ve been doing guest posts over at MFT and this month is no different of course! The second I saw this little Pure Innocence girl snacking on an apple from her little basket, I had to color her right up – and add a fall scene behind her! I’ve been obsessed with fall scenes lately – and you can check my Instagram feed for lots more scene ideas for your fall, halloween, and Thanksgiving cards. (And I’m moving into Christmas now, too, so ya best run and catch up! lol!) But first – enjoy the watercolor pencil video:

Lots of fun – and easy, too. That’s the great thing about trees…they’re just blobs of color!

Glossy Accents is one of my favorite embellishments on an image – adding just a little shine to her apples and shoes!

Watercolor Flowers Series #21: Wet on wet stamping

Watercolor Flowers Series #21: Wet on wet stamping

Recently I was reminded of my watercolor flowers series – and after going back and numbering the ones that didn’t make it in…we’re back on track – with #21!

Watercolor Flowers Series #21: Wet on wet stamping

These watercolor flowers are easy, but look so loose and artsy – stamping with watercolor markers onto wet paper gives the flowers a washy look that can be challenging to create with just a brush! I used Zig clean color markers but you could try other brands and papers too. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

And the soft purple flowers too…yum!
