Munster birthday
Today’s card’s a simple-ish one….I was trying for CAS, but you know how that goes for me! lol. I wanted the contrast between elegant and whimsy – so paired a silly munster from Paper Smooches with some nice flowered paper from October Afternoon. CAS?

Sentiment by SRM stickers.
Gotta love PS!
I’m so excited – the Paper Smooches “PS Patrol” saw my camel card back here – and it’s posted over on their blog! w00t!
Quick post – I’ve got a little more PS to share with today’s card….I went a little retro with some October Afternoon paper and the cutest tv stamp ever made….it’s from the Boob Toob set!

And since this is a short post – I also wanted to share that I have a couple StageIt shows planned!! (Crossing my fingers the technology works this time!) So go check out the two shows – one will be my craft room tour on Sunday, the next will be a coloring class the following Sunday! Click to get deets and sign up!

Renovation update: Not an exciting update today since it was a laying-the-groundwork kind of day yesterday…trim’s down and staples are out of the floor, and more of the shopping got done. Today the electrical gets done, and a chunk of one wall will get primed so I can see for sure what color the yellow will come out. I’ll get to see it with full lighting in the room, which is good too, since what’s in there now are some lame-o ceiling fixtures, and that doesn’t give me much of an idea what it’ll look like. Once I check that color, it’s off to buy paint!
I finally had a chance to ink up my new Hero Arts blossom stamp set – I have so many projects going that I had to squeeze in some time for new acrylic!

I paired the fussycut flower and leaves with a sentiment from SRM, some pearls, and a little ribbon…..added all that to chevron paper from October Afternoon. Simple but with a punch to it! Copic colors: R37 R29 YR27 YR04 Y17 YG11 YG05 G03

Paper Smooches: Proud Giraffe
Hi everyone! I’m finally getting to post another challenge card from the VCMP this past weekend….jiminy, am I behind or what? I did get a lot done on my to-do list so I guess that’s okay….but I’d have preferred to play along when everyone else was crafting.
I’m submitting this one for the Glitz and Glam (without Glitter!) challenge. I think the pretty pearls along with the supercool half-shiny ribbon do the trick!

Yes, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. That ribbon IS half grosgrain, half satin! I had apparently missed it on the May Arts site all that time, but at CHA I saw some and just HAD to get a couple spools. YUM!
The giraffe is by Paper Smooches, and I just colored up a couple of the images from the set – so stinkin’ cute, eh?

Hey! Happy Thursday! Today’s a doctor day….going to see an ortho about my knee. I’d had a little spill (ok a big one) on concrete a few months ago, and it just hasn’t healed up quite like I thought it would. I went to my regular doc, and she said it looked like I might have busted my kneecap – and it healed up, but with bone spurs.
It’s been feeling lots better since I saw her, but am going for the referral anyway just to be sure. And if you haven’t heard the Bust your Kneecaps song. you’re in for a treat.
I’m especially excited about this, not just because of my crazy accident – but I’m a backer of Nataly’s for her new CD, and mine’s been shipped! Can’t wait to get my ears on it. I saw her and Jack sing this one live in Seattle last year – yeah! And tonight I get to attend a private Stageit performance of songs from the new CD, and I am STOKED! Don’t worry, it’s over before OWHtv
I thought I’d share a little something else with you since I’m in videosharingmode – I’m in a Copic video! lol. Just as a student….one photo of me craning my neck and looking like a dork, but also a couple of my colored images for the class assignments. Pretty cool! If you’re interested in taking the class – workshop link is HERE, and a little of my art is on the Copic blog HERE! (w00t!)
It feels like Mo Manning week around here. LOL! Today’s card has another of her images, and this time I fussy cut out parts of it to pop them – her head/part of hair has no dimensional, just regular tape under it, so it looks like the dress poofs out more slowly as it lifts from her head.

Papers are by October Afternoon, and the ribbon is of course May Arts; the sentiment is another from the MFT stamps. E79 E37 E99? Y26 Y32 B06 B04 YG97 W1 E53 E51 BV000
Here’s a close up of how the dimension worked out…

Tonight’s another episode of OWHtv….hope you can tune in!

ICSE February class coming up!
Hello and happy Monday! Did you have a great weekend? Hope so! The Superbowl was a pretty good game…I like a close score to keep it exciting, especially when neither are “my” teams (Steelers, Redskins, and Seahawks!) But the Jeep ad – WOW! Kleenex alert!
I’m starting to plan for the next Copic coloring class on Stage It! I’ve been having fun with them, and apparently a few of you are too
These are two of the cards from students that they made with their shiny metal robots….I’m so proud! The first is from Pat K, and the second is by Sherry H.

The next class will use this sweet image called “Daddy’s Girl” from Mo Manning – she’s such a little tomgirl! I gave her some bold, graphic papers, but also included a fancy scallop to make it just a little girly. In class I’ll also show you how to add even more “denim” to the texture of the jeans – I didn’t do it on this card but will for the class.

Colors are listed on the ICSE page – and the show is set so you can buy a ticket if you want to learn how to color her!

Courage
Happy Thursday! And you’ll be glad to know it’s back to OWHtv for us….hooray! I took a few weeks off for CHA, but I’m slowly getting back to ‘normal.’ Whatever normal is, I guess!
Today’s card was sent as an AnyHero card quite a while back. I had sent it to a pub but they didn’t pick it
But I know our hero who got it really loved it, he even commented on how much he loves John Wayne!

This one was the inspiration for one of the ICP cards too…have you gotten to that section and found the one like it?
Papers here are by Authentique – their Glory collection….twine by May Arts of course. Stars from Fiskars, sentiment by Waltzingmouse Stamps from the UK. If you want more info on it, go see that card in the ICP – it talks about how to do the twine!
OH! And don’t you dare miss yesterday’s bloghop! It was with our friends at Cardmaker Magazine, so it’s all CARDS! And there’s ribbon up for grabs!
See you tonight on OWHtv! I finally get to finish that story!

Bgaaaaaaak! Late for cake!? No way!
Okay, well after all the food these last weeks, I guess being late for cake isn’t going to end ol’ MacGee’s life
But he seems just a bit worried! I think maybe he didn’t get enough Christmas cookies yet!

I used a technique from the ICP called Out of the Box to diecut with his feathers and feet popping out – if you don’t know what that is, go to THIS link then make selections as you go through the Interactive Cardmaking Project and select A,B,A,A, then A.

Copic colors are R37 Y17 W0 B00
Come back tonight, I’ve got another post going up for a site that runs on east coast time….so I get to post my project before tomorrow. Yeah, a bit of math for me to do! But….you’ll want to stay tuned, the video’s called My Drunk Craft Room!

Minime Christmas Cards – with GLITTER! Gasp!
I had a bunch of undersize black card bases with envelopes….and made cards to hand out personally to friends. I was in use-it-up mode before I started on the Scrap Wrangler post HERE, so there’s little bits of this and that on these cards. OH and before I forget – those candles in that project were LED ones I got in none other than Costco!
Including this one that actually got GLITTER. Yep. I did it. Used glitter!

This one’s for a gal who just loves glitter

I’m not going to add the shopping links on this one, I’m pooped! The show last night and massive cardpacking afterward took it all outta me. LMK if you just need to buy something here and I’ll do what I can for ya in comments
Have a GREAT weekend ahead, and a beautiful Christmas too, if I don’t “see” you here before then!
A warm little birdday to you
This card just warms me up.
Something about the textures and the colors, I think. This was one of the prototypes that almost made the ICP – when the ICP was going to launch in August. LOL. Yeah, I kinda blew that deadline! So all the fall and winter cards got set aside and I changed everything over to spring. Do you recognize Sketch C?

For this card, I attached the checkered paper to the brown and embossed them both together. The tut was going to be a coloring one….alas! But I do have the Copic colors: YG67 YG63 E49 E59 YR07 Y17 E53 E51. Papers are by October Afternoon.
I wish I could link you up but…for the life of me I can’t find this stamp in the Kraftin Kimmie store
I’m guessing it may be retired? However – if you want some DARLING images, go check out her Moonlight Whispers collection, they are just FUN! I have just a couple (and wish I had more!) – and you can click HERE to see my other Kimmie cards.
