Birthday Chicks Card

Birthday Chicks Card

A pile of falling chickies dressed in party hats is the perfect birthday card, right? Because yellow! And because cute. There’s some basic Copic tips in today’s video, and a fun idea to use dies to create an interesting look on a card front. Don’t skip the insides and envelopes! Watch the video below or click HERE to see it in HD on YouTube.

The inside of the card sports CUPCAKES! Uh huh. Gimme a stack of purple cupcakes, put them in my tummy!

And the envelope is always a treat to add….it tells the recipient that it’s HAPPY mail!

  1. I love, love these chicks and what you have done with them Sandy in this particular design. Thank you for sharing it with us crafters. :O)

  2. Oh my lands! You are seriously THE BEST ARTIST! Thank you for the inspiration!

  3. Sandy, you are a wealth of artistic information! I love this card AND your work in general.

  4. Sandy, I LOVE your card. Your idea of the floating chicks is awesome. Definetly on my list to try!!! Love to your pups too and your kitty

  5. Very beautiful card!

  6. Cute chicks. I love the recessed stamping (or should I say elevated panel?).

  7. Super cute!

  8. Gorgeous and a great idea to put an extra panel on top, never seen that. I wil try that for sure!
Thanks Sandy and have a nice weekend.

  9. So cute!

  10. Waaaay cute!! Great die technique to highlight the chicks. I love to see cards finished inside and on the envelope – you nailed it.

  11. Cute! Lots of good information here, too – and one more technique that I doubt would be possible without the MISTI. Who would’ve thought of popping images down?! We pop ’em up on foam or dimensional tabs all the time. Only Sandy would think of such a thing! Thank you, again, for all you do!
