This one was inspired by a card that came in to OWH…except that one was pretty crazy. The crafter (I don’t know who it was, it came with a store batch) had handcut some rough hearts – they were pretty badly done, but I immediately saw the potential for a darling Santa card! Here’s my rendition…

I used a scalloped nestie for the outer heart (tried a regular heart and it just looked weird). The wreath on his head uses two punched pieces from the Stampin Up owl punch, and a couple punched circles. I added a nose and drawn-on eyes and cheeks to complete him, and a little red tongue made him look more like he was smiling!

The papers were donated – big piles of this red and green! I’m determined to use up all that’s left THIS Christmas – I’ve given away lots, but the fact that I still have some might tell you just how much was given! lol.

He’s so cut.e. What a clever idea.
Glad you were able to “save” the card!
Love the red & green small print pattern papers! And that chubby cheeked Saint Nicholas is adorable.
