Big Shot Christmas Ornaments

I hope my little post today helps others who are feeling the pinch financially this Christmas….I’ve got ideas for using all that crafty stuff you already have to make ornaments to give as gifts! I figure if we add enough embellishing and ribbon and (ahem) stickles to something, folks will believe we went all out! 🙂

Enjoy this video showing how I did the snowman ornament…and gasp along with me as perfectly brand new plates get baptized with their first cuts! 🙂

Hope you enjoyed that bit of fun! Here’s a still of the ornament, and then the others…I’ve listed as many supplies as I could remember…. Shopping links are at the end of the post for as many items as I could find links for!

  5. Thank you Sandy for doing this for us. SOO appreciated. You gave such beautiful card examples!! Lovely coloring as usual. Thank you again for giving us your time and talent.

  6. Oh my, oh wow! No wonder you catch colds–you obviously aren’t sleeping! ALL of the ornaments are wonderful, and I learn something each and every time I watch you! This time is was making the embossed edge deeper. Thank you for all you do and MERRY (healthy!) CHRISTMAS!

  7. These are absolutely fantastic! What an undertaking-and what a successful endeavor! You are truly an artist.

  8. Sandy, it’s almost like the frame dies were made to be perfectly matched to the images you stamped and colored. They’re awesome…. I especially liked the ones you did for Toastmasters and what a lot of coloring! thanks for sharing.

  9. PS. I wish my mailman would bring me something like that! LOL!

  10. WOW! Busy lady. I really need to get busy crafting. This would make good use of some of all those Xmas stamps that I buy and can’t use them all. Also great for non breakable ornaments for a small tree that a young child might have.

  11. Wow, these are going to be a big hit with those lucky enough to receive them. Thanks for sharing and looking up all those links (yowsa, my eyes were going blurry reading ’em!) Had to laugh at the cleanup at the end. My studio is also a glitter free zone because of our Heroes.

  12. Very, very lovely gifts! Wish I had just a bit of that talent, Sandy. and the “clean-up” at the end was lots of fun! thanks for the inspiration and the smiles!

  13. Sandy, you are a hoot! My eyes were getting bleary just READING all of that text… You’ve made some really wonderful gifts (with a trip down stampin’ memory lane, to boot!). Nothing says I love you more than creating something with your own two hands. The silk ribbons dress them up beautifully, and yes, there can never be enough stickles or pearl pen.

  14. I also am doing ornaments as gifts this year and am crafting my way through my list of giftees. The great thing about crafting ornaments is that those who craft really value the time and effort they know goes into these, and those who don’t craft are usually super impressed. LOL These are great and I think I’m stealing an idea or two! 😉 TFS!

  15. Those are lovely ornaments and what a great idea to use the stuff we all ready have….and we can add as much dimension as we want! 🙂 Great use for all those big buttons I have acquired that are just too big for OWH cards.

  16. I am learning SOOOO much from your videos!! I can’t wait to meet you in person!

  17. Beautiful!!! Enjoy your new Big Shot!

  18. Beautiful ornaments! I can see the creativity and love you put into them! My craft room is a glitter free zone, except for this time of year also, so the vacuum clip made me chuckle!

  19. Wow, you’ve been busy, these are all wonderful, and of course the one stamp I gravitate to, the cute Santa, is one that’s no longer available…figures.
Just for the record, the little snowman stamp on the blue/peace on earth ornament is by Inkadinkadoo (sp?).

  20. They are so cute – love them all – who wouldn’t?? You are very creative.

  21. These are darling!!! Love each and every one of them.
