A llama walked into a tiki bar….. I know there’s a joke here somewhere, right? Ha! Well the Market Stand stamp set from Avery Elle – combined with Peek-A-Boo Pets (there are several animals, it’s so cute!) and Llamazing – inspired my three cards for today! Scroll down for detail on each one. Which is your favorite?

I’ve put together a little graphic for your pinning pleasure – click on the image to make it bigger, but be sure to pin it from here so you can get back to the blog post.

I made three versions of this card – in three different coloring mediums! While I stamped one of them I figured I’d do it on several kinds of paper. The good thing – I could use Lawn Fawn, Jet Black Ink because it works with all three mediums I wanted to color with!

The little llama from Llamazing seems to be sneaking into the tiki bar late at night to take a sip! This is colored in Copic Markers; I added torches to the top of the stand, and white sparkly liights all around to light up the bar. Stamped on Neenah Cardstock
I added the pup from Peek-A-Boo Pets, and watercolored the pup to look like my Vienna! She’s a total servant so she’d be a great bartender! I painted the sky first in Daniel Smith Watercolors then painted the light green trees, then darker green trees. Stamped on Arches Cold Press Paper
For the beachside tiki bar, I stamped a Happy Hedgehog to serve as barkeep! I colored this in Polychromos Pencils using powdered pencil technique for the sky (more on that in Colored Pencil Jumpstart class). Stamped on Stonehenge Paper

Ps: since it’s the first day of spring, it’s also free ice cream cone day at DQ!
