A fruity hump day!

I’ve got something pretty unique for you today….sadly I’m not able to link you up to the stamp since the store that made it, Make an Impression, is no longer in business. I’m always so sad to see people stop making gorgeous things!

This is one of my favorite images to color when I really dive in. The art itself is simple lines…

The coloring I’ve done is a little more like painting, I think! I keep telling myself to piece this someday, maybe I will :) But I manually added textures, shadows, and the blueish woodgrain. It started off without the grain in it but I needed it darker to make the rest pop, so I just kept going. This took about 2 hours to color…..

  2. This is a beautiful coloring job. It is always sad to see stamp companies go out of business. I loved your video for May Arts. What a cute way of presenting the project. I wish you lots of good luck.

  3. That is fantastic.

  4. Beautiful!

  5. Here’s the link for that stamp as she still sells her images on line and at some local conventions (Puyallup, in the Seattle area). http://www.makeanimpression.net/productcart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=6

  6. WOW, this shocked me when I went on your site, Sandy. It is out-of-the-ordinary but I love the vibrant colors and the wood effect on the sides. Just gorgeous!

  7. What a gorgeous job of coloring you did on this – the colors just pop with the dark background! Love the colors you chose for layering and the cardstock – so pretty. TFS
